Vello Aaviku and Jerry Lawless, October 1962

"Here is a photo taken in October, 1962, of two Kirkland Lake "thugs" named Vello Aaviku and Jerry Lawless attempting to torture this Lakehead lad. Vello took a BSc and became a teacher in Welland, Ontario; Jerry ultimately got his PhD and became Professor of Mathematics at the University of Waterloo. The photo was taken on the landing outside St Jerome's Residence which opened for students the previous month." (Norman Hodge)
